As Head of the Commercial Banking Business Centre, you will be responsible for leading and managing the overall operations, strategic direction, and performance of a Commercial Banking Business Centre within RHB Bank Berhad. This role focuses on driving business growth, deepening client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality commercial banking services to meet the needs of our corporate and SME clients.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Formulate and execute business strategies and plans to achieve the Commercial Banking Business Centre's financial targets (e.g., loan growth, deposit growth, fee income, PBT) and non-financial objectives.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Relationship Managers and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective talent management.
* Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients, identifying cross-selling opportunities for other banking products and services (e.g., trade finance, cash management, treasury).
* Oversee the credit assessment and approval process for commercial loans, ensuring compliance with credit policies, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, prospective clients, and internal stakeholders to enhance business development and client retention.
* Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC).
* Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
* Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and ensure excellent service delivery within the Business Centre.
* Actively participate in community and business networking events to enhance RHB Bank's brand and market presence.
Job Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional banking certifications are advantageous.
* Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, or SME banking, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing client portfolios, and driving business growth in a commercial banking environment.
* Strong understanding of commercial banking products, services, credit risk assessment, and financial analysis.
* Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* In-depth knowledge of local banking regulations, compliance requirements, and market dynamics in Malaysia.
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and a robust professional network.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Results-oriented, strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
