What you'll do
- Lead all additions, changes, and strategic recommendations related to the Beauty product portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Serve as the key facilitator in the development and expansion of knowledge surrounding user routines, device ownership and usage, end styles, and competitor activities, and integrate these insights into portfolio strategy and decisions.
- Work closely with the Vice President, and Commercial Head of the Business Unit to prioritize user benefits and feature delivery in the product range.
- Develop clear and actionable product briefs informed by deep knowledge of user benefits, required features, and desired product formats to guide both the Discovery and Delivery phases with the NPI and NPD teams.
- Ensure the Beauty Range Plan is kept up to date with latest decisions
- Oversee the generation, analysis, and application of consumer and market insights to inform product proposition, user trials, range structuring, and pricing recommendations.
- Champion white space exploration, driving identification of future opportunities and translating insights into innovative new product concepts.
- Translate identified user benefits and features into executable product briefs, managing the development and launch cadence in line with business capabilities and targets.
- Deliver product plans that support annual volume and profitability growth, focusing on both established core categories and breakthrough opportunities in category expansion.
- Own and facilitate all BU communication documents to the Board, including monthly performance updates, BU Board presentations, and the annual 5-year plan and strategy.
- Make data-driven recommendations on product discontinuation where appropriate.
- Own the business cases for all Dyson Beauty projects, ensuring accuracy and robust financial modelling.

About the role:
The Head of Portfolio, Beauty, is a dynamic and strategic leader responsible for driving the growth, innovation, and financial success of the Beauty product portfolio. This role oversees all aspects of portfolio management — from insight gathering and white space exploration, to product proposition, and lifecycle management. Collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the Head of Portfolio will ensure that user-driven insights translate into compelling product briefs, robust range management, and impactful business plans that support the long-term success and expansion of the Dyson Beauty business.
Key Responsibilities:

About you:

- Proven experience in portfolio management or product management, preferably within consumer beauty, personal care, or technology sectors.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and financial acumen with experience building and presenting business cases.
- Adept at synthesizing consumer insights and market intelligence into actionable product and portfolio strategies.
- Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing abilities at C-suite and Board levels.
