Head of Science / ASAP Start Available / Cheshire East District / Fixed-Term
Academics are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Science to join a secondary school in the Cheshire East area on an interim basis with an ASAP start available.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Science Teacher looking to take on a leadership role in a secondary school. The position is offered on a full-time, long-term supply basis, initially running until Christmas, with the potential to continue through to the end of the academic year depending on circumstances.
The Role:
- Lead and manage the Science department across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Support and develop high-quality teaching in the department
- Develop and implement effective schemes of work and curriculum plans
- Deliver engaging, challenging and innovating Science lessons
- Plan, assess and monitor student progress to maintain high standards
- Provide effective leadership and support to colleagues within the department
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Secondary Science
