An integral part of our team, the Head of UnitingCare Clinical School provides strategic, academic, clinical and operational leadership for medical education delivered across UnitingCare Hospitals. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future medical workforce while fostering a values-based clinical learning environment that supports excellent student experiences, clinician engagement, scholarship and continuous improvement. 

Your part in The Wesley Hospital team 

The Head of UnitingCare Clinical School provides leadership across undergraduate medical education delivered within UnitingCare Hospitals and serves as the primary lead for university partnerships, including Bond University and Griffith University. 

Working collaboratively with Visiting Medical Practitioners, employed doctors, nursing and allied health professionals, operational leaders, university academic staff and students, you will help integrate learning with clinical service delivery, patient safety, research and quality improvement initiatives.

You will oversee the delivery of high-quality clinical placements and learning experiences, provide leadership in curriculum implementation, student support, supervision and faculty development, and ensure alignment with university requirements and UnitingCare's Clinical Governance Framework. 

Whilst the appointment is an academic rather than a clinical appointment, as the role is part-time, it supports the successful candidate continuing in clinical practice if desired.
