What you'll do

  • Product lifecycle management and operational support across CIO products and offerings, including reviewing and negotiating distribution agreements, sub-management agreements, offering memoranda and documentation relating to investment structures
  • Product classification, product risk rating, maintenance of selling restrictions, and management of trailer fee data
  • Supporting product specialists with ongoing monitoring and review of fund house AML due diligence
  • Supporting fund management activities such as coordinating matters for the fund’s board, request for proposals/information, review and maintain fund documentation and marketing materials and monitoring regulatory developments
  • Support during fund launches (e.g., order collation from Front Office, administrative allocation of subscription and addressing front office queries)
  • Facilitate internally the execution of lifecycle events in relation to private market funds such as capital calls, distributions and fees collection
  • Maintain oversight of performance and cash flow data for performance reporting and valuation updates of private market funds
  • Drive efficiency improvements in lifecycle management of CIO products and offerings
  • Dissemination of non-corporate action related fund updates front office and clients; Coordinating internal reporting to various departments of BOS and OCBC Group
  • Own and maintain policies, procedures and frameworks
  • Coordinate, facilitate and/or execute CIO’s strategy and work plans, including business and financial planning and sales performance, tracking of initiatives, budget and expenses, headcount management, KPI, vendor management, product performance, management reporting, etc.
  • Support business management activities which include access control administration and reviews, preparation of regular and ad-hoc management reports, planning and organising CIO events

  • Proven track record of project-managing and delivering cross-functional projects on time with minimal impact on users

The Chief Investment Office is responsible for managing the Bank's wealth and asset management portfolios, encompassing investment strategy (macroeconomics, equities, fixed income and foreign exchange), portfolio strategy, discretionary portfolio management (“DPM”), CIO Lab, portfolio risk and performance, sustainability partners, mutual and alternative funds due diligence and selection, as well as product & business management.

The Product & Business Management (“P&BM”) team is responsible for product lifecycle management, middle office operational support, business risk and business support across the mutual funds, in-house funds, alternative funds (including hedge funds and private market funds) and portfolio management teams in CIO.

The Head of P&BM leads and manages the CIO P&BM team at BOS to oversee the below 3 pillars within CIO:

Product Management

Product lifecycle management and operational support across CIO products and offerings, including:

  • Reviewing and negotiating distribution agreements (including share class selection), sub-management agreements, offering memoranda and documentation relating to investment structures for funds and structured notes with funds underlying. This includes working with product specialists, legal, compliance, tax advisors, General Partners and other service providers

  • Product classification, product risk rating, maintenance of selling restrictions, and management of trailer fee data

  • Supporting product specialists with ongoing monitoring and review of fund house AML due diligence

  • Supporting fund management activities such as coordinating matters for the fund’s board, request for proposals/information, review and maintain fund documentation and marketing materials and monitoring regulatory developments;

  • Support during fund launches (e.g., order collation from Front Office, administrative allocation of subscription and addressing front office queries);

  • Facilitate internally the execution of lifecycle events in relation to private market funds such as capital calls, distributions and fees collection;

  • Maintain oversight of performance and cash flow data for performance reporting and valuation updates of private market funds; and

  • Drive efficiency improvements in lifecycle management of CIO products and offerings

Business Management

  • Coordinate, facilitate and/or execute CIO’s strategy and work plans, including business and financial planning and sales performance, tracking of initiatives, budget and expenses, headcount management, KPI, vendor management, product performance, management reporting, etc.

  • Support business management activities which include access control administration and reviews, preparation of regular and ad-hoc management reports, planning and organising CIO events

  • Drive management rhythms and governance through effective communication including providing analysis, presentations and materials for key meetings and forums

  • Drive strategic transformation projects to identify and implement process improvement /efficiencies and participate in cross-departmental projects including other BOS regional offices and OCBC partners;

  • Keep track of the department’s contractual obligations;

  • Serve as a main point of contact for the department in relation to business processes; and

  • Represent the department/team in related meetings

Business Risk Management

  • Strengthen the operational risk and information security risk management governance framework in the first line of defense by providing support to CIO teams to manage the risks.

  • Provide guidance and advice to CIO teams o operational and information risk activities including but not limited to operational risk events management, risk & control assessment, business continuity management, third-party risk management, etc.

  • Conduct thorough investigations of operational risk events to identify the sequence of events, control weaknesses and work with the CIO teams to develop prevent action plans.

  • Lead, support and coordinate the interactions and timely responses with Group audit and other internal and external reviewers

  • Foster a culture of risk awareness among staff
