Health Coach Trainer – Nutrition & Wellness

Company: MetaGO Health
Location: Mumbai
Employment Type: Full-time

About MetaGO Health

MetaGO Health is a doctor-led metabolic health and weight-management programme combining medical care, diagnostics, personalised nutrition and ongoing health coaching. Our multidisciplinary team helps members make practical, sustainable changes throughout their health journey.

About the Role

Help turn nutrition knowledge into better coaching conversations.
We’re looking for an experienced nutrition professional who can train new Health Coach batches and develop existing coaches. You’ll build the knowledge, communication skills and practical judgment coaches need to support members with confidence, empathy and consistency.
This role combines hands-on training, learning-content development, readiness assessments and ongoing coach development.

What You’ll Do

Train and onboard new Health Coaches

  • Deliver structured induction covering MetaGO’s programme, member journey, coaching responsibilities, tools, documentation and SOPs.
  • Teach personalised nutrition counselling, behaviour-change techniques, goal setting, active listening and handling difficult member conversations.
  • Use case discussions, demonstrations, mock calls and role plays to help coaches apply their knowledge.

Develop existing coaches

  • Identify learning needs through quality-audit findings, member feedback and discussions with team leads.
  • Run targeted refreshers and individual or group coaching sessions to address recurring gaps.
  • Support coaches as they begin handling member interactions, providing observation-based feedback and practical guidance.

Build practical learning resources

  • Create and maintain training modules, case libraries, facilitator guides, assessments and coaching reference material.
  • Work with the Clinical team to keep nutrition and programme-related content accurate and approved, including guidance for supporting members receiving doctor-prescribed GLP-1 treatment.
  • Reinforce professional boundaries, confidentiality, recognition of concerns requiring clinical attention and timely escalation. Diagnosis, prescribing and medication changes remain with authorised clinicians.

Assess readiness and training effectiveness

  • Evaluate coaches through knowledge checks, role plays and practical assessments; document readiness and further development needs.
  • Track whether learning translates into stronger coaching quality, better documentation and fewer recurring gaps.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Clinical and Operations teams to update training as protocols, processes and member needs evolve.

What You’ll Bring

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or Clinical Nutrition.
  • Hands-on experience in nutrition counselling, clinical nutrition or health coaching.
  • Experience training, mentoring or supervising nutrition professionals or health coaches.
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • A constructive feedback style, sound judgment and an empathetic, member-centred approach.
  • Confidence creating learning material and using presentation, spreadsheet and digital collaboration tools.

Good to Have

  • Experience in metabolic health, obesity care, diabetes management or doctor-led weight-management programmes.
  • Exposure to nutrition support for members receiving GLP-1 treatment.
  • Experience with training-needs analysis, quality-led refreshers, learning platforms or digital-health operations.

Why This Role Matters

Your work will extend beyond the training room. You’ll help shape how Health Coaches listen, explain, personalise support and respond when members need help—across both new batches and the existing team.
