What you'll do
- Performing complex preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of operational equipment (Trucks and Yellow Iron).
- Repairs as needed equipment (including, but not limited to, bulldozers, scrapers, front-end loaders, yards trucks, tractors, forklifts, and company cars).
- Perform assigned repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with established Standard Repair Times (SRTs), ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company safety and quality standards.
- Diagnoses and repairs differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
- Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist.
- Completes records such as work orders, card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples.
- Services and maintains other equipment such as light plants, water pump, welders, and other equipment.
- Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

- 3 years' experience in maintenance & repair of diesel heavy equipment (yellow iron).
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Trade School Certification.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and identify electrical/mechanical issues and complete in a safe timely manner.
- Perform all tasks safely and in accordance with applicable OSHA rules and regulations.
- Consistently behaves in a manner that is appropriate and professional.
- Ability to read and comprehend service manuals, electrical and hydraulic schematics etc.
- Computer diagnostic skills.
- CDL Class A / B with air brake endorsement.
- Acceptable Driving Record.
- Must possess personal tools.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
Nice to have
- Bilingual English / Spanish
- Welder Certification - Full fabrication knowledge (Mig/Tig/Arc/Oxy Acetylene/brazing etc.)
- CNG / LNG alternative fuel training.
