Heavy Equipment Operator

Skilled Trades Partners is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator for a long-term commercial project in Lee, MA.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator looking for steady, long-term work with a contractor whose projects include landfills, parks, site work, earthwork, and other commercial construction projects.

Position Details

• Position: Heavy Equipment Operator
• Equipment: Excavator
• Location: Lee, MA
• Pay: $38–$42/hour, depending on experience
• Project: Long-term commercial project
• Schedule: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate an excavator on commercial construction projects
• Perform excavation, grading, digging, loading, and other site/earthwork duties
• Work around landfills, parks, and other large-scale commercial sites
• Follow all safety procedures and jobsite requirements
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns
• Work effectively with ground crews and other equipment operators

Requirements

• Proven experience operating an excavator
• Experience with site work, earthwork, landfills, parks, or similar commercial construction projects preferred
• Valid Massachusetts 2A Hoisting License required
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Strong understanding of construction site safety
