  • Further development of business credit acumen with independent decision-making skills.
  • Ability to provide recommendations regarding the financial condition of businesses as it relates to debt service, covenant and borrowing base compliance and early warning factors.
  • Ability to underwriter simple credit requests within the SOR and make recommends of approval or decline, as well as being able to explain why the decision was made.
  • Review and analyze the most complex, high dollar Financial Statements/Spreads Borrowing Bases, Covenant compliance, and Waiver requests for the monitored loan portfolio.
  • Manage covenant/borrowing base violations as assigned.
  • Monitor the Upgrade and Downgrade process for the loan portfolio which includes providing credit commentary.
  • Assist management with the completion of monthly reporting to ensure compliance.
  • Successfully assist with coaching and training of peers (HLC Credit Analysts). This will include reviewing peer work related to business and personal financial analysis, process and procedures, credit policy, financial ratios and business writing skills.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as needed to support the line of business and job family.

Description

Summary:

The HLC Credit Analyst II is responsible for monitoring and underwriting loan within the Regional Bank Business Loan Portfolio. This role involves critical thinking necessary to provide thoughtful credit recommendations regarding borrowers within the loan portfolio.
