What you'll do
- Processes employee benefit enrollments, eligibility changes, qualifying life events, and related transactions accurately and within established timelines.
- Responds to routine employee and manager questions regarding benefit programs, eligibility, enrollment processes, plan resources, and required next steps; refers plan interpretation, disputes, or exceptions to the appropriate Total Rewards resource.
- Reviews benefit transactions and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy and follows established procedures to resolve missing or inconsistent information.
- Supports annual open enrollment, including system preparation, employee communications, inquiry support, transaction processing, and post-enrollment validation.
- Provides administrative support for leave-of-absence processes and coordinates routine information and documentation with employees, managers, HR partners, and third-party administrators.
- Tracks assigned leave-related activities and follow-up requirements, maintains accurate records, and escalates complex eligibility, accommodation, policy, or employee-relations questions to the appropriate HR partner.
- Protects the confidentiality of medical and leave-related information and follows established access, documentation, and information-sharing requirements.
- Maintains accurate benefits, leave, and related employee data in Workday and other approved systems within assigned security and authority.
- Performs routine audits and reconciliations to identify data discrepancies, research root causes, completes authorized corrections, and escalates issues requiring additional review.
- Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports and data extracts; reviews output for completeness and accuracy before distribution.
- Supports testing and validation of benefits or leave configuration, business processes, reports, and system changes as assigned.
- Maintains organized records and documentation sufficient to support transaction history, audit readiness, and operational continuity.

The HR Associate - Total Rewards provides operational and administrative support for MarinHealth employee benefits, leave programs, and related Total Rewards activities. - Assists with employee communications, educational materials, reference guides, and other Total Rewards resources, ensuring information is clear, current, and appropriately approved.
- Supports Total Rewards projects, compliance activities, audits, and process-improvement initiatives within assigned scope.
