HR Business Partner

Rimkus is a worldwide provider of engineering and technical consulting to contractors, corporations, insurance companies, law firms, and government agencies. Rimkus experts specialise in strategic project advisory, dispute resolution and construction management services, solutions for the built environment, and human factors support for the consumer, industrial, and healthcare industries.

The Role

We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our APAC team and play a pivotal role in shaping our people strategy across the region where we have offices in Australia (Melbourne, Perth and Sydney), New Zealand (Auckland) and Singapore.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you'll be the trusted go-to for leaders and employees across APAC, combining strategic HR guidance with practical day-to-day support that keeps our business moving.

In this position you will be required to:

• Become a trusted advisor to the APAC Managing Director, leadership team and managers, shaping people decisions that matter.
• Be the go-to person for managers and employees on all things people related.
• Oversee recruitment across the region, partnering with hiring managers to attract and secure great talent.
• Guide the business through employee relations, performance management, and organisational change with confidence and care.
• Turn complex legislation and policies into clear, practical advice.
• Keep ahead of legislative changes across the region.
• Take ownership of our HR policies and procedures, sharpening how we work as we grow.
• Drive talent mapping and succession planning, and performance appraisals that build our future leaders.
• Support compensation, benefits and annual review processes across APAC, partnering with global HR and leadership teams to ensure programs are competitive, consistent and aligned with business needs.
• Lead HR projects that move the needle on our long-term goals.
• Partner with global HR and corporate teams on people initiatives, ensuring global programs are effectively localised for APAC while contributing regional insights to broader organisational priorities.
• Create engagement and retention initiatives that continue to make Rimkus a great place to work.
• Manage and develop the People & Systems Administrator, providing guidance, support, and day-to-day leadership.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a HR Business Partner role, ideally across multiple APAC jurisdictions.
• Strong working knowledge of employment legislation across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.
• Confidence advising senior stakeholders while staying hands on with day-to-day HR.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
• A proactive, solutions focused approach to problem solving.
