Work model: Hybrid (3 days in office)
Employment type: Full-time 
Contract type: 12-month contract with view to extend 
Languages: Fluent Dutch and English required 
Travel: Occasional travel to other Accell locations in the Netherlands  

What’s the job all about? 

With the continued development and professionalization of Accell Group’s HR function, the position of HR Operations Specialist is an important role within our People team. This position is key in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient HR service delivery while supporting managers and employees across the organization. 

You will play a central role in executing core HR processes, maintaining HR data integrity, coordinating payroll activities, and helping roll out HR initiatives. You will also act as a reliable point of contact for managers and colleagues by providing clear guidance on HR policies, processes, and day-to-day matters. 

The ideal candidate enjoys working in an international environment, takes ownership, and is motivated by improving how HR operates. 

 

What will your day-to-day responsibilities involve? 

  • Execute end-to-end HR processes such as onboarding, offboarding, contract management, and employee documentation.  

  • Ensure HR administration is accurate, timely, and compliant with local labor legislation.  

  • Serve as a key user for HR systems such as Workday, maintaining employee data and supporting reporting needs.  

  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate HR processes.  

  • Act as the main point of contact for payroll providers and coordinate monthly payroll inputs including changes, leave, and absences.  

  • Work closely with Finance to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.  

  • Support the implementation of local and regional HR programs and initiatives.  

  • Communicate policies, procedures, and process updates clearly to managers and employees.  

  • Share knowledge within the HR team and support colleagues when needed.  

  • Help resolve operational HR issues by investigating root causes and ensuring proper follow-up.  

 

Who are we looking for? 

We’re looking for a practical, ambitious HR professional who enjoys both operational execution and stakeholder support. You are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a changing environment. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience is also considered.  

  • Solid experience in HR Operations, HR Generalist, or similar HR support roles.  

  • Strong knowledge of HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, and payroll coordination.  

  • Experience handling employee relations or operational HR cases.  

  • Good understanding of Dutch labor law and HR best practices.  

  • Experience using HRIS systems such as Workday.  

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify data issues and improve processes.  

  • Excellent planning skills and strong attention to detail.  

  • Strong English communication skills.  

  • Fluent Dutch, with the ability to draft and adjust contracts, letters, and HR documentation accurately and compliantly.
