Reports to: Human Resources Manager, Springer
The Human Resources Supervisor oversees and coordinates daily HR operations while supporting employees, managers, and organizational leadership. This position is responsible for supervising HR staff, implementing company policies, supporting recruitment and employee relations, maintaining personnel records, and ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Human Resources department.
- Lead, train, and support HR staff to ensure effective performance and service delivery.
- Oversee onboarding processes.
- Ensure employee personnel files and HR records are accurate, current, and confidential.
- Administer and monitor company policies, procedures, and HR programs.
- Handle employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, complaints, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Support managers and employees with HR-related questions and guidance.
- Assist with performance management, employee evaluations, and professional development programs.
- Oversee attendance, leave, timekeeping, and payroll-related HR processes.
- Coordinate employee benefits, enrollment, and related communications.
- Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation for management.
- Assist with workplace investigations and maintain appropriate documentation.
- Assist in development and implement HR initiatives that promote employee engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and company information.
- Perform other HR duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with employees and management.
