HVAC Curriculum Specialist Opportunity

What You’ll Do
The HVAC Curriculum Specialist is a position housed at the TCC Gadsden Center in Quincy, Florida. The instructor’s major function is to effectively lead the HVAC programs, creating an ideal learning environment, maintaining an appropriate balance of discipline, and being able to transfer knowledge to students, while staying abreast of evolving regulations within the industry.  The HVAC Curriculum Specialist must be dependable, highly responsible, independent, self-starting, and have the ability to interact with a diverse student population.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provides a teaching environment (lecture, group, or individual) targeting a diverse population resulting in earning proper certifications. Educates and trains students to gain skills necessary to be successful in the HVAC field and meet established goals related to student performance.
• Provides administrative support for course logistics (i.e. scheduling and curriculum development).
• Assists when needed in the recruitment of students, marketing the program, and identifying community partnership and funding opportunities.
• Works with the Regional Service Center Manager and Program Specialist to coordinate the maintenance of student performance profiles, other audit records, and maintenance logs for equipment.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Graduation from a standard high school or equivalency
•  Five years of full-time experience in the trade at the journey level or technician; or three years of experience as a certified instructor in a HVAC vocation/technical training program.
• Preference given to candidates with prior teaching experience and industry recognized certification in the HVAC trade.
