What You’ll Do
- Install residential furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-split systems, thermostats, and indoor air quality equipment.
- Remove and properly dispose of existing HVAC equipment.
- Complete ductwork modifications, refrigerant piping, condensate drainage, venting, gas piping, wiring, and related system connections.
- Assist with equipment startup, testing, charging, airflow verification, and commissioning.
- Review job documentation, equipment specifications, and installation requirements before beginning work.
- Identify and communicate equipment, material, or jobsite concerns promptly.
- Follow manufacturer instructions, applicable codes, safety requirements, and company installation standards.
- Protect customers’ homes and maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
- Explain basic equipment operation and maintenance information to homeowners.
- Complete required job documentation, equipment records, and photos using company software.
- Maintain assigned tools, equipment, materials, and vehicle inventory.
- Participate in ongoing technical, product, safety, and customer service training.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous residential HVAC installation experience preferred.
- Knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, mini-splits, ductwork, refrigeration, venting, and related components.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and code compliance.
- Professional appearance and respect for customers and their homes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments efficiently.
- Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and field service software.
- EPA certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in attics, basements, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions.
