HVAC Mechanical Systems Apprentice Technician (Union)

Do you have an interest in becoming an HVAC Technician? We are looking for an entry level HVAC systems apprentice who may have some experience in residential, light commercial and/or HVAC education to join our team to work with the most advanced heavy commercial and industrial cutting-edge equipment.

We provide factory certification through our Service Technical Academy (STA) with milestone recognition and monetary rewards and advancement, top of the line technology, equipment, and uniforms and a #1 focus on employee safety. We will equip you with tools and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard.  The apprentice must possess a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, a willingness to listen and apply training in the field. 

What you will do
You will work with skilled and experienced Journeyman HVAC Mechanics in a variety of commercial and industrial equipment settings.  Training will be provided to you via mentors, in person classes and an online training course.

Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.

What we look for

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Computer savvy with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain a good driving record

Preferred

• One (1) year of work experience in the HVAC industry
• HVAC education courses

*This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Pay Rate: Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.  Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. 

This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre-hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, as well as continued employment at JCI.  Acceptance by Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or will result in termination of this position.  This is not a guaranty of employment or entering the Union. The Union has its own entry, qualification & screening programs.
