JOB SUMMARY:
- Establish Atlan as the trusted enterprise entry point for finding, understanding, and using governed data.
- Create a unified metadata and governance foundation for the Customer 360 initiative.
- Reduce manual stewardship effort through Context Agents and repeatable enrichment workflows.
- Enable business users to discover certified assets while retaining broader visibility for designated roles.
- Create a repeatable implementation pattern that can be reused across future domains.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Program & Delivery Leadership
- Own and maintain a single integrated delivery plan covering all remaining milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities.
- Run the RAID log (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) as the authoritative program record.
- Drive weekly planning and status cadences.
- Serve as the named delivery owner bridging Atlan’s advisory engagement and the program’s in-tenant responsibilities.
- Maintain a role matrix and escalation path to support timely decision-making.
- Provide executive-ready status reporting to the DMO and program sponsors.
Technical Implementation
- Direct and validate connector configuration across Snowflake, Salesforce, Domo, dbt, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle, with Okta for SSO.
- Lead end-to-end lineage validation for Customer 360, including mapping resolution, defect triage, and documented test cases.
- Troubleshoot platform, ingestion, and metadata issues hands-on.
- Coordinate the Monte Carlo integration for data quality visibility.
Governance & Access Configuration
- Complete RBAC and persona modeling, configuration, and testing.
- Secure and document formal approval of access models.
- Balance business-user discovery of certified assets against broader visibility requirements for designated roles.
AI / Context Agents & Metadata Curation
- Configure Context Agent collections for automated metadata enrichment.
- Tune enrichment outputs to an agreed acceptance standard.
- Publish operating procedures for repeatable enrichment workflows.
- Drive asset certification activities, including ownership assignment and glossary linkage.
- Close metadata coverage gaps and report progress against targets.
Rollout, Enablement & Adoption
- Build steward enablement materials and reusable guidance.
- Develop and deliver rollout materials including training, demos, and launch communications.
- Define adoption KPIs and dashboard reporting.
- Execute operational handoff with a documented support model and roadmap recommendations.
Deliverables
- Validated production-source inventory and connector configuration record.
- End-to-end lineage validation report and remediation log.
- Configured RBAC/persona model with approval evidence.
- Configured Context Agent collections and supporting operating procedure.
- Certified asset inventory with ownership and glossary links.
- Steward enablement materials and reusable guidance.
- Rollout package including training, demos, and launch communications.
- Adoption measurement framework (KPIs and dashboards).
- Closeout package including support model and roadmap recommendations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years delivering enterprise data or analytics programs.
- 4+ years leading implementations as the accountable delivery owner.
- Demonstrated experience implementing a modern data catalog or metadata management/governance platform; Atlan strongly preferred, with Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or Microsoft Purview also considered.
- Hands-on working knowledge of Snowflake, Salesforce, dbt, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Familiarity with Domo and Okta-based SSO.
- Proven ability to validate and remediate data lineage across heterogeneous sources, including mapping resolution and defect triage.
- Practical experience designing and configuring RBAC/persona-based access models and guiding them through security approval.
- Strong data governance foundation, including stewardship models, business glossary management, asset certification, and metadata quality management.
- Experience with integrated planning, RAID management, dependency tracking, and executive status reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders.
EDUCATION: Bachelors with 8+ or Master with 6+ Years of Experience
LOCATION: Remote
DURATION: 6 months
SALARY RANGE: $115 to $130 Per Hour
