SUMMARY

Primoris Canada is seeking Journeyman Welder B Pressure welders to support multiple long-term projects at our fabrication shop in Edmonton, AB. This position involves pressure pipe welding in a controlled indoor fabrication environment, supporting small diameter pipe spools and fabricated assemblies ranging from 2” to 12” in size.

Start Date: September 2026
Location: 17th ST – Indoor Fabrication Shop
Shift: Nightshift or Dayshift– 4 x 10s with potential of overtime
Inclusive Rate: $58.16(inclusive of employer contributions)

Hourly Rate: $46.66

Additional Premium: Nightshift $3.00

JOB DUTIES

• Perform B-pressure pipe welding in an indoor fabrication shop
• Comply with Company safety requirements
• Read and interpret weld procedures (WPS) and isometric drawings
• Weld using SMAW, and STT/FCAW processes
• Complete roll welds, groove welds, and fillet welds
• Inspect and verify weld quality to code and specifications
• Work safely around overhead cranes, rigging, and material handling equipment
• Participate in toolbox meetings and safety orientations
• Maintain housekeeping within indoor work areas
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Alberta registered Journeyman Welder
• Valid B-Pressure Ticket recognized by ABSA
• Experience with roll welding, groove, and fillet welds
• Fabrication shop experience preferred
• CSTS-20
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Team-oriented and self-motivated
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.
• Weld Testing F3/F4 and F6/F6 are a condition of employment
• WHMIS 2015, Overhead Crane and Rigging, Confined Space an asset
• Roll Welding and Posi Welding an Asset,
• Welding Stainless Alloys with F6/F5 ticket
