What you'll do

  • Drive standardization, documentation of core design and process elements for scalable network growth across North America Logistics using strong process management and Lean principles
  • Plan and design systems that increase critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance
  • Redesign effort for the inbound and outbound processes, evaluate the ergonomic needs and issues for shipping clerk workstations, or conduct a capacity planning and analysis study for peak season
  • Assess and optimize the processes and equipment used in the Delivery Station
  • Recommend and implement changes to safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards
  • Determine root causes of "defects" in performance through deep dive data analysis and decomposition and process observation
  • Successfully manage, execute, measure and communicate the impact of the projects in partnership with the site leaders responsible for day to day operations
  • Coordinate with Tech/Software teams, driving the operational execution of software enhancements
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other operations functional areas such as Safety, Quality, Learning, Loss Prevention, Amazon Customer Excellence System (ACES) Continuous Improvement, Launch, Finance, and Volume Planning
  • Interface with other functional areas as required (Supply Chain, Operations Integration, Transportation, Sort Centers, Fulfillment Centers, Site Launch, Procurement, etc.) in support of network initiatives.
  • Domestic or international travel up to 30% to perform role responsibilities may be required

  • 1) 2 years of experience in using Six Sigma tools & Lean practices.
  • 2) 2 years of experience performing root cause analysis using various techniques.
  • 3) 2 years of experience in using Minitab or JMP.
  • 4) 2 years of experience in using MS Excel & Visio
  • 5) 2 years of experience in conducting investigations to identify process flow bottlenecks and reduce production cycle times.
  • 6) 2 years in project management.
  • 7) 2 years of experience in developing technical SOP documentation, standards, critical to quality specifications and metrics for process improvements

The pay range for this position in Bellevue, WA is $153858 - $178800 (yr); however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
