  • Record parts and materials needed and request new parts and materials
  • Help to develop machine shop expansion
  • Cross train in repairing mechanical seals (will train)
  • Test completed pumps according to written procedures
  • Maintain a neat and orderly shop
  • Know, understand, and abide by environmental and safety policies
  • May be responsible for providing back up driver duties and responsibilities

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill a need for a Pump Mechanic Associate! This role will assemble, disassemble, and repair pumps for industrial use as well as diagnose pump problems and identify parts needed for repair.

Qualifications:

  • Two years of mechanical experience preferred
  • Additional on-the-job training is available
  • High School or GED/Vocational School
  • Valid state issued license is required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Possession of a DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
  • Occasionally assist in deliveries to customers
  • Hands on mechanical proficiency
  • Ability to operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools
  • Experience in repairing damaged equipment back to working order by applying mechanical knowledge to problem solve
  • Ability to operate automated lifting equipment
  • Ability to lift and move 50+ pound objects
  • Keep management informed of work and backlog
