About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Industry Partnerships Manager to build strategic connections between the College of Science and Engineering at Flinders University and industry, government and community partners.

This is a highly connected and influential role, where you will identify opportunities, bring the right people together and turn ideas into meaningful collaborations across engineering and computer science. With a particular focus on growth areas including defence, sustainable energy, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, you will help position the College as a partner of choice for industry engagement, innovation and talent.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and grow strategic partnerships with industry, government, research and community stakeholders, aligned to the College’s teaching, research and innovation capabilities.
  • Connect industry with Flinders expertise to develop collaborative projects, research opportunities, commercial activities and new funding opportunities.
  • Expand industry-connected learning through placements, FUSECo projects, Industry Honours and Masters projects, Enterprise PhDs and other industry opportunities.
  • Lead and grow industry engagement capability by managing and developing a team, strengthening systems and processes, and providing strategic advice to College leadership and academic teams.

This position is open to candidates with Australian Work Rights. Relocation support is available.

  • A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check which is satisfactory to the University will be required by Flinders University before the successful applicant can commence in this position.   • This position may require the successful applicant to hold (or be eligible to obtain) an NV1 (Negative Vetting Level 1) Security Clearance.
