Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Infrastructure System Administrator to support and maintain the IT infrastructure for our financial services organization. The Infrastructure System Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, performance, security, and availability of servers, virtualization platforms, network systems, and associated technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with VMware, Fortinet, Cohesity, Windows Server, IIS, and BeyondTrust, and will play a critical role in maintaining system reliability and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration & Support:

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain virtualized environments using VMware vSphere and ESXi.
  • Manage and support Windows Server environments, including patching, user account management, and system troubleshooting.
  • Configure and maintain IIS for hosting web applications and services.
  • Administer Fortinet firewalls and security solutions to ensure network protection and secure access.
  • Perform regular system backups and manage disaster recovery operations using Cohesity.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

Project Support:

Documentation & Process Improvement:

  • Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Identify areas for process and system improvement and provide recommendations to senior IT staff.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as VMware vSphere, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate/Expert (MCSA/MCSE), or similar are a plus.

Experience:
