Position Overview

We are currently recruiting Installation Technicians to support our activities in the semiconductor industry with our major client sites.

This is a travelling role and you must be available and eligible to travel within Europe with no restrictions, once you are trained and qualified

Our Installation Technicians are responsible for installing, commissioning, testing, and qualifying advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment within customer fabrication facilities.

Requirements

  • Install, assemble, and commission sophisticated semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer fabrication facilities according to our client specifications and safety standards.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process utility hookups required for equipment installation and startup.
  • Conduct tool alignment, calibration, startup, and functional testing to verify equipment performance and operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with semiconductor cleanroom protocols, contamination control requirements, and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) regulations.
  • Verify proper installation of process gas, chemical delivery, vacuum, exhaust, cooling water, and electrical systems associated with semiconductor equipment.
  • Perform equipment inspections and quality checks to ensure installations meet customer standards.
  • Document installation activities, technical findings, system modifications, and commissioning results in accordance with company procedures.
  • Support equipment upgrades, retrofits, relocations, and technology conversions within high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Train customer personnel on equipment operation, basic maintenance procedures, and safety requirements following installation.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, components, and project progress using company reporting systems.
  • Adhere to all lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, hazardous materials handling, and cleanroom safety requirements.
  • Work effectively in fast-paced semiconductor fabrication environments while meeting demanding production and project deadlines.

Profile & Requirements

  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel. Travel to domestic and international customer sites to support equipment installations and project deployments required.
  • EU work authorisation required.
  • Minimum 1 year + of technical, electrical or mechanical experience.
  • Good communication skills in English (professional level required), written and oral.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, installation manuals, and technical documentation to ensure accurate system integration.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Customer-focused with excellent time management and organisational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leaving Cert or completed professional training in a technical field (e.g. mechatronics technician. electrical/electronic field); preference for University’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in electronics, pneumatics, or vacuum systems.
  • Preferred previous experience with semiconductor capital equipment and understanding of industry standards and best practices for semiconductor equipment service activities.
  • Open to other industries – aviation, manufacturing, mechanics, hands on types of roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of English is essential, both written and oral.
