🧭 What You’ll Do

As Insurance Operations Specialist, you’ll be at the core of our daily insurance operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Insurance as their right hand, you’ll take responsibility for claims handling, policy servicing, daily operations, and customer support. Outstanding customer service is fundamental to Fidamy, and you’ll help set the standard for delighting both our partners and their customers.

You’ll take ownership of daily execution for our insurance products, work closely with partners and carriers for smooth delivery, support new product development, and help continuously improve our offerings to stay customer-centric and efficient.

Your core responsibilities:

• Manage, execute, and enhance claims handling processes and service

• Lead customer support operations and customer-facing communications (Dutch, German and English)

• Coordinate risk management programs and reporting for our carriers, ensuring compliance

• Be the insurance expert in product development - ensuring propositions are executable, compliant, and scalable

• Build and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and third parties, including onboarding and business reviews

• Support underwriting and product servicing, review policies/terms/documents, and keep abreast of market developments

• Continuously improve quality, compliance, product, and distribution strategies

• Collaborate cross-functionally with insurance, actuarial, tech, and business teams

• Help develop operational playbooks and workflows for new embedded insurance products

🎯 About You

Must-haves:

• 3+ years’ experience in the insurance sector, ideally with a Dutch broker, insurer, or MGA

• Practical experience with claims, customer support, and risk carrier management

• Passion for digital innovation and a strong drive to reimagine insurance

• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable building from the ground up

• Strong communicator who works well with internal and external stakeholders and end customers

• Pragmatic, resilient, and thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial teams

• Fluent in Dutch and English (German is a plus)

• Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience growing a direct writing business

• Familiarity with policy wording, underwriting, or carrier relations

• Affinity for tech and data-driven work

• Experience launching or running embedded/digital insurance products

• Prior experience in startups, scale-ups, or high-growth environments
