What you'll do

  • Support doTERRA's success by leading the global Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Compliance program
  • This role will help ensure that all departments are in compliance with doTERRA's HazMat/DG policy and procedures
  • This includes all global movements (air/ocean/ground) of both raw material and finished goods
  • Compiles and maintains Hazardous Communication documentation
  • Inspects inbound/outbound cases for compliance
  • Keeps records of all non-compliant incidents
  • Responds to Hazmat queries (broken cases, leaking product, questionable products)
  • Maintains all company MSDS'
  • Follows standard operation procedures for receiving, handling, packaging and shipping of hazardous material
  • Enforces compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and procedures required for processing hazardous material
  • Negotiates the flow of hazardous material throughout the organization
  • Follows recordkeeping procedures required by federal regulations

Job Description:

Supports the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, reporting, and practices for an organization or business. Monitors activities impacted by regulatory requirements related to the organization's governance and any industry-specific or location-specific laws. Utilizes established internal controls and auditing systems to identify, detect, and correct noncompliance. Implements changes to compliance processes due to new or amended regulations. Prepares and updates communication materials. Assists with training initiatives that inform stakeholders about compliance requirements.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 0-1+ years of experience
  • Previous experience in hazardous material transportation, handling and storage preferred
  • Datatrax experience preferred
  • Ability to conduct training classes
  • Ability to operate a personal computer for data entry and reporting using MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to gain a working understanding of Warehouse/Fulfillment Operations with training
  • Actively participates and collaborates with others on one's own team and across doTERRA for the achievement of business goals
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to prioritize and plan and see things through to the end
