Integration Engineer

RecruitBlock is partnering with a blockchain analytics and crypto exchange platform that has seen rapid growth. With Seed and Series A fundraising rounds completed and nearly 2m subscribers this company has an exciting growth plan. It’s now looking for an Integration Engineer – Compliance to join the Compliance Technology team to design and manage integrations that ensure the regulatory adherence of their cryptocurrency exchange.

This role will be New York tristate (NY, NJ, CT) based starting WFH but transitioning to hybrid at a future point in time.

🧩 How will you spend your time at work?

· Collaborate with compliance, legal, and product teams to define technical requirements aligned with KYC/AML regulations and global compliance standards.

· Evaluate, implement, and manage integrations with third-party compliance tools (e.g., Jumio, Chainalysis, Elliptic).

· Develop and maintain scalable APIs, data pipelines, and integrations to support compliance workflows..

· Build and enhance systems for detecting suspicious activity, such as fraud, money laundering, and other high-risk behaviors.

· Integrate advanced analytics and automation to improve anomaly detection and accelerate compliance investigations.

· Work with third-party vendors to onboard, optimize, and troubleshoot compliance tools.

· Stay updated on the latest advancements in KYC and blockchain analytics solutions.

· Ensure secure handling of sensitive data related to customer identity and transactions.

· Act as the technical liaison between compliance, engineering, and other business units.

· Respond to and fulfill data requests from internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

· Provide insights and recommendations to enhance compliance operations based on system performance and regulatory feedback.

⭐ Here’s what you’ll bring to this Integration Engineer role in New York;

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· Strong experience in software development or system integration roles.

· Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java.

· Strong working knowledge in Linux/MacOS, RESTful APIs, and webhooks.

· Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.

· Understanding of KYC/AML processes and regulatory frameworks in fintech or cryptocurrency.

· Hands-on experience with compliance platforms like Jumio, Chainalysis, or Elliptic desirable

· Knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency ecosystems helpful, for example experience working on compliance solutions for centralized exchanges.

· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues into actionable solutions.
