Itron is seeking a Firmware Engineer Intern to join our Product Development team in West Union, South Carolina, beginning in January 2027. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of embedded Linux firmware for Itron electric meters. You will work alongside firmware engineers, test engineers, and technicians on meaningful projects involving firmware and hardware debugging, test applications, automation, and test-data analysis, with potential exposure to AI-related engineering initiatives.

Duration:

  • Must be available to work either part-time (approximately 25 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week), beginning in early January 2027.
