About the Role

As a Global Security Operations Intern supporting the Southeast Asia (SEA) region, you will gain hands-on experience in security operations, threat monitoring, and corporate resilience. In this role, you will work alongside experienced security professionals to address high-stakes risk scenarios while applying academic principles to real-world operational challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Operational Security Management
  • Support the S.E.A. Operations team in executing security protocols for high-profile events, talent visits, and executive protection details, especially for D23 event which is taking place in Singapore (June 2027)
  • Partner across Lines of Business (LOBs) to ensure full compliance with TWDC global security standards.
  • Coordinate with vendor partners and security service providers to maintain operational standards and service delivery.

 

• APAC Security Control Center (ASCC)
  • Access Control & Surveillance: Monitor access control provisioning systems and manage CCTV surveillance operations to safeguard TWDC facilities and personnel.
  • Incident Management & Accountability: Support ASCC operators in conducting Welfare Checks during critical risk events and tracking post-incident accountability metrics.
  • Data & Intelligence Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze raw operational data using technology platforms to support weekly/monthly KPI reporting and executive dashboards.

 

• Process & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Analyze existing operational workflows to identify efficiency enhancements and process optimizations.
  • Assist in drafting, updating, and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational guidelines.
  • Collaborate with regional managers to refine team methodologies and best practices.

 

• Reporting & Data Management
  • Support the S.E.A. Operations team in compiling weekly/monthly metrics, incident trackers, and risk assessments.
  • Assist in developing executive presentation decks and briefing materials for leadership and key stakeholders.

 

• Special Projects & Engagement
  • Support internal communications initiatives, including drafting newsletters and managing operational photo/media repositories.
  • Assist in planning and executing regional Global Security events, campaigns, and awareness programs.

 

• Key Learning & Experiential Goals
  • Collaborate across diverse LOBs to build cross-cultural leadership and synergistic working relationships.
  • Capstone Project: Plan, manage, and execute one local Security Operations event end-to-end (from pre-event planning through post-event reporting).
  • ASCC Operations Exposure: Gain hands-on exposure to real-time incident response, mass notification protocols, and accountability tracking within a high-stakes regional security control center.
  • Provide ad-hoc operational support to foster stakeholder alignment, community engagement, and a collaborative team culture.

Internship Requirements:

• Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree
• Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period
• Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between January to June 2027
• Must be available to work on-site throughout the full period of internship

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Public Safety & Security, Risk Management, or a related discipline.

• Strong passion for corporate security, global risk monitoring, and operational resilience

• Data & Intelligence Analysis: Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to collect, organize, and analyze raw data into actionable security intelligence and executive reporting.

• Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across regional and cross-functional teams.

• Discretion & Integrity: Proven ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential operational data with strict discretion.

• Proactive & Self-Motivated: A driven self-starter capable of operating with minimal supervision while taking initiative on strategic projects.

• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the MS Office Suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with data visualization or security tracking platforms is a plus.

• Brand Passion: A genuine interest in and passion for TWDC brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic).
