What you'll do
- Perform minor and major changeovers on thermoforming and related production equipment.
- Install, remove, and maintain molds, inserts, trim tools, and other tooling required for product changeovers.
- Set up production equipment and establish first-run parts that meet all quality standards prior to production release.
- Complete changeover documentation and coordinate with Quality and Production to release equipment for operation.
- Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues, performing routine repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Assist Maintenance with diagnosing and resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform basic extrusion operator duties to support inline changeovers and process improvements.
- Monitor production performance and assist with resolving issues impacting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers, to verify tooling and equipment setup.
- Operate machine control systems and assist with training production operators on equipment operation.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, labor, and parts usage in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
