Summary :

The Inventory Technician works closely with department team members to ensure appropriate inventories of supplies, equipment, and materials are maintained.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Distributes and processes incoming supplies, equipment, and materials throughout the ThedaCare campus.

  • Orders medical/surgical products using hand held devices or requisitioning in the materials management system.

  • Replenishes stock/non-stock products on PAR carts or at PAR locations.

  • Coordinates new stock/non-stock product purchasing with assigned department and orders as appropriate.

  • Assists in the management of area supply inventories and adjusts accordingly based on usage.

  • Performs supply cart maintenance (cleans, rotates stock, updates labels, etc.).

  • Responds to customer needs/inquiries for the procurement process.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred

  • Must be 18 years of age


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance,

  • Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Normally works in climate controlled environment

  • Pushing/pulling/lifting with consistent movement throughout the day


Position requires compliance with department specific competencies.
