Investment Banking Vice President – Building Products and Distribution within Industrials Group

With a global presence and extensive expertise, Santander CIB provides industry-leading support for the full range of Global Banking activities.

We provide global support for corporate and institutional clients, delivering tailored services, products and solutions including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Acquisition & Leveraged Finance (ALF) and Debt Capital Markets (DCM).

The Difference You Make:
We are seeking a Sr Associate / Vice President in Investment Banking supporting our Building Products and Distribution industry coverage within our Industrials Group. You will play a key leadership role in the origination and execution of complex transactions while developing relationships with key clients and driving new business opportunities.

• Support the origination and lead execution of M&A Advisory transactions.
• Manage day-to-day deal processes, ensuring milestones and timelines are met.
• Oversee the development and quality control of financial models and client materials.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on transaction execution matters.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in collaboration with senior bankers.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Analysts and Associates.
• Travel as requested by senior team members and / or clients.

 

What You Bring:
The ideal candidate brings Investment Banking coverage experience in the Industrials sector for a bulge bracket or leading boutique advisory firm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent: in Finance, Business or equivalent degree - Required.
• 4+ Years in Corporate Finance as a Coverage or M&A Banker in the Industrials sector.
• Strong client relationship management, and negotiation skills.
• Proven transaction execution experience in investment banking.
• Advanced technical and strategic advisory capabilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines and have the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and to develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to manage projects independently and assume a high level of responsibility.
• Ability to assess and mitigate reputational, operational and credit risk.
• Experience with sell-side and buy-side merger and acquisition processes.

 

Certifications:

• SIE, 79 and 63

What Else You Need To Know:

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
