About NordSpace

NordSpace (https://nordspace.com) is a Canadian startup with the mission to develop Canada's first sovereign space launch and end-to-end space missions capability. With divisions ranging from rocket propulsion and spaceports, to satellite development and planetary robotics, NordSpace is driven to do everything it takes to bring space closer to Earth. As the Investor Relations & Capital Formation Manager at NordSpace, you will be leading a variety of fundraising efforts for Canada's first orbital class launch vehicle, to be launched from NordSpace's Atlantic Spaceport Complex in Newfoundland and Labrador.

You will also lead efforts at NordSpace Ventures, a ventures arm of NordSpace Corp. which makes strategic investments in space and defence startups primarily in Canadian companies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead NordSpace’s capital-formation strategy for the orbital launch vehicle and related programs.
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with venture capital funds, private equity, family offices, institutional investors, strategic partners, and government funding bodies.
  • Develop, refine, and deliver investor-facing materials including pitch decks, financial models, data-room content, due-diligence packages, and progress updates.
  • Maintain an active investor pipeline and manage all fundraising communications, follow-ups, and documentation.
  • Organize and lead investor meetings, presentations, site visits, roadshows, and virtual or in-person fundraising events.
  • Support leadership in strategic financial planning, runway modelling, capital-structure recommendations, and funding-round timing.
  • Translate technical inputs from engineering, spaceport, and satellite teams into clear investment narratives and milestone-based funding plans.
  • Monitor market trends in aerospace, defence, launch services, and capital markets to inform strategy and positioning.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure alignment with securities regulations and proper documentation during raises.
  • Represent NordSpace at industry events, investor conferences, and partner engagements to promote the company’s mission and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in investor relations, venture capital, private equity, corporate finance, or capital-raising roles.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully closing funding rounds or major investment transactions.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capability to simplify and explain complex technical concepts.
  • Experience managing investor pipelines, data rooms, CRM systems, and due-diligence processes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment and handle multiple deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and judgment when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Preferred: MBA, CFA, or advanced finance credentials.
  • Preferred: Experience in aerospace, defence, deep-tech, or other technical industries, plus an established investor network in private markets.

All roles are full-time in-person at our Markham, Ontario location or our St. John's, Newfoundland location. Occasional travel to Ottawa, Ontario and St. Lawrence, Newfoundland, will be required.
