IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst

This role will support the critical tasks within Field EUC team and in the Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) space: specializing and ensuring hardware life cycle management processes are followed, enforcing data accuracy, chain of custody rules across all 20k+ field computers, ensuring all field computers are properly decommissioned and disposed and providing reporting/analytics support through dashboards and reporting.  

 

 

Responsibilities

• Work with EUC to understand process requirements related to the bring together of configuration data and asset life cycle management 
• Work closely with various partners to provide guidance in the management of Configuration Item's within ServiceNow and the relationships between them.
• Participate in Configuration Management meetings, provide updates on progress as it relates to field assets in CMDB 
• Perform day to day administration of the ServiceNow asset management for field computers
• Review the data being populated into the CMDB to ensure accuracy.
• Ensure alignment to development strategy, standards, policies, tools, and procedures during all phases of the development hardware life cycle.
• Partner with the technology teams to gather requirements and fully understand end to end goals for hardware life cycle management.
• Write and/or revise hardware life cycle documentation and operations documentation to include providing required input into operation support manuals and user guides.

 

Required Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree (4-years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related field; or equivalent work experience. 
• 1-3 Years’ experience in End User Computing, Hardware Lifecycle Management and Asset Management
• 1-3 years’ experience in project and process management 
• Considerable knowledge of the ITAM processes, ServiceNow disciplines process and practice area best practices. 
• Highly effective verbal/written communication skills; ability to effectively explain technical information in non-technical terms to drive results. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities. 
• Ability to build & maintain collaborative relationships.

 

Preferred Qualification

• ServiceNow CMDB Asset Management experience, 
• Certifications preferred: ITIL Foundation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences and vice versa.
• Strong thought leadership abilities and a highly innovative problem solver.
• Excellent problem detection and determination skills in multiple functional infrastructure/application areas.
• Experience in tracking and managing IT assets through their lifecycle (from Procurement to disposal)
• Shown experience defining, championing, and maintaining processes, procedures and policies.
• Experience and Knowledge of MS Power BI\Intune Reporting\MS Power Automate
