IT Project Manager (H/F)

Job Description

Wabtec Transit Business is quickly transforming from a legacy decentralized Business Units to a centralized global organization. This triggers number of IT projects that support these changes. In this context, we are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager, who will join the Wabtec Transit Business Relationship Management Team. The ideal candidate will discover and align Transit IT Business Requests with the global IT roadmap, then prepare and manage specific IT projects. This position requires a mix of energy, IT experience in the global Manufacturing industry, and curiosity, given the large scope of Business and functions covered.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with our Business – All functions, in the early stages of each Transit request. Discover and clarify the scope and its readiness
• Search for an IT owner within our global IT Organization
• Understand the existing IT Roadmap and how it covers the Business request. Formulate the gaps if any and what is the scope and value of a middle term / Long term project
• Highlight issues and call for action in case of unresolved strategic topics that put projects on hold.
• Manage preliminary studies and projects. Manage the Project in line with our IT PMO process
• Contributes to ISO27001 / NIS2 certification for European sites in coordination with the Cyber Security and Infrastructure Team

 

Qualifications

• Graduates from Engineering schools, specializing in computer science, master’s degree in computer science, information systems, ideally completed by a specialization in project management or technology leadership
• 6+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in a global manufacturing industry
• Experience with matrix IT organization, IT PMO process and certifications
• Strong project management and budgeting skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work with cross-country and cross-functional teams
• Fluency in English
