Janitor for both Early Years Programss

Qualifications:

• Up to date clear Child Abuse Registry check – (Full time to be renewed every 2 years; part-time to be renewed yearly)
• Up to date clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Record Check – (Full time to be renewed every 2 years; part-time to be renewed yearly)
• Up to date First Aid – (to be renewed every 3 years)
• WHMIS – to be done ASAP after taking the position
• Have good interpersonal skills
• Must be self-motivated, energetic, punctual and reliable
• No experience necessary
  

Job Summary – roles and responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Sweeping, dusting, wet mopping, scrubbing and spot cleaning, stripping, waxing, sealing and buffing floors as directed
• Trash pick up and removal, recycling and composting
• Dish washing
• Window and wall washing
• Disinfecting toys and other hard surfaces
• Moving furniture, assisting in loading, unloading and distribution of supplies
• Operating powered equipment typically used in custodial operations
• Maintaining supply and equipment inventory as directed. Keeping janitor closets clean and orderly, maintaining supplies and adhering to work plans
• Performing other duties deemed necessary by the Director
