The Junior Buyer supports day-to-day purchasing activities to help ensure the timely availability of materials required for manufacturing and operations. This role places and maintains raw material purchase orders and releases based on Planning direction and MRP requirements, tracks and expedites supplier deliveries, and escalates potential shortages or supply risks.

The Junior Buyer also supports supplier onboarding, maintains material shortage reporting, and provides visibility into expected delivery dates and recovery actions. Working onsite, this position collaborates with Planning, Manufacturing, Warehouse, and other operational partners to address material availability issues and changing production requirements.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Planning & Procurement and is part of the Planning and Procurement team located in Vista, California. This is an onsite role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

The essential requirements of the job include

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2 or more years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of purchasing processes, purchase order management, and supplier delivery follow-up.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • ERP System experience, SAP preferred and knowledge and understanding of purchasing programs and MRP
  • Supplier management and performance reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal skills – the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers

The annual salary range for this role is $63,000 -$83, 000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
