Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Prepare tender submissions, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and procurement schedules.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labour expenses.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with potential projects.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-control exercises during project execution.
  • Maintain a database of cost information and assist in post-project reviews.
  • Update and manage estimating database on varying construction costs and material fluctuations
  • Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners
  • Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in estimating roles within the construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, procurement processes, and building regulations.
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway, Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
