Electrical Estimator

Aureol Global Connections is looking for an Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical work on construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects. They analyze project requirements, review drawings and specifications, obtain supplier and subcontractor pricing, and prepare competitive bids while ensuring compliance with project standards.

Typical Job Responsibilities

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from electrical drawings and plans.
• Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender submissions and bid proposals.
• Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when required.
• Ensure estimates comply with client requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience as an Electrical Estimator in construction, infrastructure, utilities, or industrial projects.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.

Strong knowledge of electrical installation methods, materials, and labor costing.

Experience preparing tenders and competitive bids.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g., Candy, ConEst, Trimble, Bluebeam, CostX, or similar).

Good analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
