As a Junior Software Engineer on the Risk & Abuse Management Platform team, you will help build the foundational technology that protects our business and customers. We engineer and maintain the robust Machine Learning and Streaming infrastructure that enables the real-time discovery, assessment, and mitigation of risks from bad actors.
You will work closely with a highly experienced team of 6 engineers, receiving direct mentorship as you grow your skills in building scalable, real-time backend systems. If you have a solid foundation in software engineering, a passion for backend development, and a strong desire to learn about ML infrastructure, we want to hear from you!

- Programming Language skills: You’re proficient in a Java-based language (e.g., Kotlin) and can quickly learn new technologies.
- Infrastructure skills: Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (like AWS) and relational databases (such as PostgreSQL, SQLite, or Presto/Trino) is a plus.
- Operational Excellence: You have an idea of maintaining and operating complex systems at scale by applying industry best practices around monitoring and alerting
- Collaborative & Communicative: You work well in cross-functional teams and are skilled at communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Building proactive relationships across departments will be key to your success.
