Junior Test Engineer

About this role

We currently have a vacancy for a Junior Test Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in France. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team.

Tasks:

  • Planning test activities, follow up on progress and approach by ensuring priority alignment inside the team, driving alignment with the involved parties in setting up the environments and tools;
  • Prepare assessment of the product quality by reviewing requirements, design documentation, creating the test scenarios, test cases and test data including automation of the test cases;
  • Run assessment of the product quality by running tests and reporting on the outcome;
  • Continuously assess and look for ways to improve the quality of the product including requirements review and improvement to the testing approach;
  • Leverage test analysis and test automation patterns to ensure requirement coverage, fast and reliable test execution.

Requirements

  • University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of at least 4 years;
  • Hands on experience in test planning, test scenarios, test case creation and execution;
  • Experience in API testing using Postman, Kreya or similar tools;
  • Experience using DBs and SQL;
  • Experience in writing and editing automated tests;
  • Experience with system integration testing;
  • Defect Management including prioritization of defects;
  • Experience with Test and Defect Management tools;
  • Experience in complex, enterprise system integration;
  • End User (UAT) management;
  • Experience in agile software development and testing methodologies;
  • Knowledge of testing standards, methods;
  • Ability to understand business context, define priorities and communicate with technology focused teams;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
