Join us as a Project Geologist – Operations within our Kalgoorlie Operations. Various positions are available across our sites, including the KCGM Super Pit, Mt Charlotte Underground, Fimiston Underground, Kanowna Belle Operations, and South Kalgoorlie Operations.  

 

These residential roles operate on an 8/6 roster.  Offering a dynamic and rewarding work environment in one of Australia’s premier gold mining regions.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

• Provide training and mentorship to Graduate Geologists, Mine Geologists and geology technicians.
• Coordinate the design, scheduling and oversight of drilling programs to ensure the provision of timely and accurate data for analysis. Liaise and communicate the plan with numerous stakeholders.
• Supervise drill contractors, demanding adherence to all relevant environmental, safety and security measures.
• Oversee the analysis, interpretation and modelling of geological data. Contribute to mine planning reviews to communicate relevant geological data.

 

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

 

Experience: Minimum Three (3) years’ geology experience in a mining environment, preferably within a gold mining operation, with experience in drill rig management, experience with mining and geology software packages such as Datamine, Leapfrog and Acquire, exposure to geological modelling and wireframing, excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.

 

 

Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Geology (minimum degree), current Unencumbered Western Australian “C” Class Drivers Licence.
