We are offering you the chance to build a career within the production sector of the mining industry as a Truck Driver or Truck Driver Trainee at our iconic KCGM Super Pit. Promising a long term and fulfilling future, join our esteemed team on the convenience of an 7/7 (12.5-hour day/night shift) residential roster.

 

Here’s what awaits you:

• Operating CAT 793 and 785 Haul Trucks in the Open Pit, working in conjunction with Face shovels, Excavators and Loaders, to fulfil production requirements in a safe and reliable manner.
• Operating Haul Trucks across various areas of the KCGM site, including the Fimiston Open Pit, Rehandle Ore Delivery area and other trainee-related activities to build your familiarisation to operating in a mining environment.
• Safely operating a Haul Trucks to transport ore and waste to designated areas to achieve production targets in the mine,
• You will also display behaviour consistent with our Northern Star Values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect and Results, looking to work with the business for the long-term, and be an integral part in its future growth and development

 

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

Experience: Excellent communication and listening skills, to be able to communicate over two-way radios and have strong attention to detail and flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices. A strong willingness to learn, with the ability to perform effectively in 12.5-hour shift environments involving repetitive tasks.

Qualifications: A Current unencumbered ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence (manual or automatic) and you currently reside in the Goldfields region.
