Here at GXO, we're looking for a First Line Manager to lead, coach and develop a team within our busy warehouse operation. Based at our Primark site in Thrapston, this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced people manager who is passionate about creating a safe, productive and engaging working environment. You'll play a key role in delivering operational excellence, ensuring customer expectations are met, and driving continuous improvement through strong leadership, effective communication and a people-first approach.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 from 7 on the AM shift of 06:00 – 14:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

• Lead and coordinate daily operational activities to ensure performance, quality and service targets are achieved
• Create a safe and compliant working environment by promoting H&S standards and best practice
• Coach, support and develop colleagues, identifying training and development opportunities to maximise team performance
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, attendance and performance, taking appropriate action to drive continuous improvement
• Foster a positive team culture through regular communication, employee engagement and leading by example

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

• Previous leadership or management experience within a warehouse, logistics or fast-paced operational environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and motivate colleagues at all levels
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to make decisions and prioritise effectively under pressure
• Experience managing performance, driving KPIs and delivering operational results
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
