Job Purpose : 

• Responsible for circle transport Optical/PTN network, Sync , DWDM network and the service experience
• DWDM network, Optical/PTN network and synch network architecture compliance. Continuous audit of  the network and ensure compliance
• Optical/PTN, DWDM  network  acceptance with respect to quality of installation, architecture, and eco system
• Build a support system for  process standardization and OSS integration of the transport network

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Accountable to deliver the Network and service KPIs  for the Optical and DWDM network & systems . Deliver service experience to Mobility and enterprise customers.
• Work closely with other transport functions in the circle and central to meet uptime , fault KPI, performance KPI and Change management KPI. 
• Implement circle specific solutions to improve experience for Voice and Data services
• Responsible for preventive maintenance of Optical transport network  to reduce outages, alarms , performance issues and equipment damage
• Drive  and work with OEMs, Optical ,OSP teams, NOC and other Field Engineers to reduce MTTR
• Drive TAC team for RCA/Plan of Action and its implementation
• Deliver Opex   saving by network optimization, spare management

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• 10-12 Years of   Optical/PTN/DWDM Experience in  service provider/OEM environment
• Technical expertise in  ASON, DWDM, OTN,MPLS-TP, Ethernet ,SDH etc
• Understanding of Mobility services such as 4G, VoLTE desired.
• Hands on experience in managing Huawei/ECI/Ciena/ZTE/Infinera/Tejas devices in a multi vendor architecture
• Excellent team building capabilities, communication & Presentation skills.
• Ability to work in dynamic and matrix organization

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Graduate in Electronics/Computer science
