Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Analytical Chemist to join our laboratory team. This senior-level role focuses on high-quality sample preparation and the execution of routine analytical testing. The ideal candidate is a disciplined scientist who prioritizes laboratory safety, is interested in hands-on analytical jobs, and possesses a foundational understanding of spectroscopic instrumentation and other chemical analysis equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all SOPs, chemical hygiene plans, and PPE requirements to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Lab Maintenance: willing to maintain a clean and organized workspace; manage chemical inventory and waste disposal according to regulatory standards.

  • Sample Preparation: Perform precise preparation of various sample matrices, including weighing, digestion, dilution, and filtration, ensuring zero cross-contamination.

  • Instrument Operation: Assist in the operation, calibration, and basic troubleshooting of analytical equipment.

  • Data Management: Accurately record experimental observations and raw data into Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or lab notebooks.

Required Qualifications:

  • An associate/Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific field.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in wet chemistry techniques (pipetting, titration, acid digestion).

  • Familiarity with the principles of analytical instrumentation.

  • Hands-on experience or academic exposure to Titration, Flame AA, ICP-OES/MS, or XRF is desirable.

  • Knowledge of EPA, ISO, or GLP/GMP standards.

  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a commitment to collaborative teamwork, and willing to learn new skills.
