What you'll do

  • Preparing and analysing environmental samples, including water, soil, waste, and oil & gas related materials.
  • Operating laboratory instrumentation and carrying out testing in line with recognised industry methods and procedures.
  • Recording and reviewing results using our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Delivering high-quality, accurate data within customer deadlines.
  • Performing quality control checks and assisting with investigations when results fall outside expected parameters.
  • Supporting the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Assisting with the preparation and dispatch of sample kits to customers.
  • Developing your technical knowledge through ongoing training and working alongside experienced laboratory professionals.

    Job Description

    Join a busy, fast-paced environmental laboratory where your work helps customers make important decisions about environmental safety, compliance, and sustainability. You'll be analysing a wide variety of samples from sectors including oil & gas, environmental monitoring, industrial processes, and utulities ensuring accurate results are delivered to clients on time.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Preparing and analysing environmental samples, including water, soil, waste, and oil & gas related materials.
    • Operating laboratory instrumentation and carrying out testing in line with recognised industry methods and procedures.
    • Recording and reviewing results using our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

    • Knowledge of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or similar laboratory software.
