We are currently seeking a dedicated Landscape Laborer to support the safety, appearance, and functionality of our stores in the Nouria footprint.

This hands-on role ensures our facilities remain customer-ready, contributing to the overall success of our stores.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Candidates must be able to independently carry out the duties and responsibilities listed below at a satisfactory level.

  • Ability to safely cut grounds using hand, power or riding mower for trimming edges around walkways, beds, and walls. Ensuring the sites are left to the Nouria standards.
  • Be able to efficiently apply fertilizer to property grounds to enhance growth.
  • Ensure grounds are free of weeds and dead plants.
  • Prepare the sites for snow removal/salting season.
  • Assist with loading and unloading work trucks/trailers during the day.
  • Move and install soil, mulch, and plant materials that will enhance the landscape gardens and related area of our sites.
  • Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to skid steers, back hoes, dump trailers, chainsaws, and others.
  • Perform landscaping duties including but not limited to planting trees and shrubs, planting daylilies and other flowing plants, excavation, grading, site preparation, irrigation systems, seeding, mulching of beds, salting and snow removal.
  • Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of vehicles, tools and equipment.
  • Installation of required material for landscaping / irrigation
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it conforms with Nouria standards.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma required.
  • 1-year minimum experience with landscaping
  • Knowledge of trees, landscaping plants, annuals, perennials, and horticultural practices

JOB RELATED SKILLS

  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal communication and written skills.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs.
  • Irrigation system knowledge.
  • Hardscape installation experience is required.
  • Experience operating heavy equipment such as a skid loader and snow removal equipment.
  • Experience in utilizing landscaping power tools, lawnmowers, leaf blowers, head trimmers, and chainsaws.
  • Experience with tree removal and pruning.
  • Snow removal experience
  • Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work after hours or weekends when deemed necessary.
  • Comply with all company policies & procedures.
  • Always wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Communicating with supervisor

Starting Rate: $28.00
