  • Conduct Compliance-related research projects, including issues that arise from compliance checklist reviews and other questions submitted from Business Units.
  • Assist with select Legal Referral assignments to experience an increased variety of legal and insurance related questions.
  • Support the Complaint team on reviewing Department of Insurance complaint responses.
  • Participate in compliance auditing assignments to gain an understanding of how insurance laws/regulation apply to company operations.
  • Contribute to a variety of legal operation assignments including research on corporate requirements, and corporate legal matters.

Overview

NJM Insurance has a Legal Intern (summer) opportunity available with our Law & Regulation team. Located at our West Trenton, NJ headquarters, this position offers a second year law student the opportunity to strengthen their legal research, analysis, and writing skills while gaining hands-on experience working alongside our knowledgeable in-house legal team.

The Legal Intern will gain practicable experience by contributing to meaningful assignments and projects. This structured internship will provide challenging work opportunities, exposure to NJM’s business operations and legal department, and professional networking experiences.
