About this role

Job Summary:

The Lead LP Associate is responsible for managing relationships with Limited Partners (LPs) and assisting with the onboarding process for new LP clients onto the company's services. This role demands collaboration between clients and various internal teams to understand requirements and develop tailored solutions that meet the LP's investment accounting, performance measurement, compliance monitoring, and reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the firm's value proposition specifically geared toward LPs, effectively communicating its benefits to clients.

  • Follow established methodologies for client onboarding, ensuring alignment with client needs and internal processes.

  • Provide comprehensive training and support to LP clients on the services and reporting tools available.

  • Communicate project status, potential issues, and risks to all stakeholders effectively, ensuring transparency throughout the onboarding process.

  • Independently lead project workstreams, demonstrating strong initiative and accountability.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues faced by LP clients during the onboarding and service delivery process.

  • Manage relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, including senior management, throughout the engagement lifecycle.

  • Deliver exceptional consultancy services, ensuring project objectives align with company goals and client expectations.

  • Identify and escalate risks or issues to relevant stakeholders for timely resolution.

  • Utilize acquired skills and best practices to complete a variety of tasks effectively and efficiently.

  • Build trust by consistently providing accurate and timely responses to client inquiries, both verbally and in writing.

  • Conduct internal training sessions for colleagues to share expertise and enhance team knowledge.

  • Document and recommend internal process improvements and service enhancements.

  • As a seasoned professional, apply creative solutions to effectively resolve complex client issues.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement and lead initiatives to implement improvements within the team.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of investment accounting principles and practices, with a specific focus on LP structures.

  • Proven leadership skills to effectively guide workstreams and manage project delivery.

  • Understanding of investment performance metrics, risk exposure, and valuation methodologies.

  • Familiarity with alternative investments, private equity, and accounting or audit practices is highly desirable.

  • Advanced understanding of financial markets, particularly in relation to alternatives, derivatives, structured products, and fixed income.

  • Experience with relational database principles and SQL querying preferred.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration.

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with analytical skills to navigate complex issues.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in a role related to alternative investments, private equity, or LP relationships.

Boise & Chicago Salary Range: $62,000 - $85,000 DOE

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and medical leave, STD/LTD insurance benefits.
