Lead Principal Data Center Fiber Deployment Engineer

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Principal Data Center Fiber Deployment Lead to lead data center construction projects delivered by colocation providers. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

In this role, you will create, review, and maintain key project documentation, including design reviews, commissioning plans, and technical problem-solving documents. You will implement and oversee quality control processes to ensure construction activities meet design specifications, approved plans, and industry standards.

You will conduct detailed site walks and lead the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. You will also identify gaps in risk identification and mitigation, develop tailored solutions, and help ensure construction activities remain aligned with project requirements.

As the primary point of contact between Oracle and colocation providers, you will select, negotiate with, and manage external vendors, contractors, and suppliers. You will ensure contract compliance, monitor vendor performance, and oversee the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.

This role requires to work on-site at Oracle’s Data Center in Abilene, Texas. Relocation packages are available.
